RS End game?

Act 1 - On the Island of the Necromancer

They have the book - what will they do with it?
They have the necromancer and two of the knights - what will they do?
They have a damaged Ship - how will they fix it?

needs
stats for Necromancer
enhanced stats for the two knights (email to Mark)
stats for the remaining guards and items
answer to how badass the Necromancer is/was that he could defeat all those adventurers over time.

Act 2 On the Sea

Chances to talk
Chance for Thayer to learn a little spell
Chance for more identifies
Chance to hold Leaflo up side down and shake

They must decide if they will hide or use the banner for this last journey

needs
stats for the sorcerer
story about how the ship survived the battle
story about why they all were ship wrecked onto the same island
same reason that it has attracted shipwrecks and sailor for many years... it's a hell mouth.

Act 3 At the City by the Sea (translate to Elven?)  (Citta da mare / Italian)

They must decide if the Banner is visible as they sail into the Harbor
scene 1 - Harbor master calls out to them, "have you met an Empire Ship named Crimson Sarah"

either - everyone knows immediately, except the princess
or - no one knows but the PC's

scene 2 - arrive at their street, be greeted by their parents (names?) and the new children on the blocks around them.  A party is expected, as are large expendetures in each shop in the surrounding area.

scene 2b,c,d - Each Rogue is immediately contacted (separately) by the guild, and told about the high bounty on the banner (eye's opening wide)

scene 3 - the party that night
as is tradition, the party must sponsor a lavish block party that night.

scene 3b - during the party someone will mention that the countess is being held somewhere in town.

Act 3 On the Town
What do the players do?

scene 1- reviewing the situation
a - go find the inn - see the mass of guards
b - seek help from the guild - be informed about the bounty for the banner (and them)
c - perhaps chased by nieghbors??

scene 2 - visit the Countess
She was convinced they were dead, and agreed to the demands of the EHK. If she did not comply her lands would be destroyed / attacked again.  If she became queen, they would be protected.

She remains unconvinced the PC's and the banner are even enough.

needs
stats for full regiment of Red Star troups - clerics mages, etc

Act 4 - What do they do?

If the banner is unfurled and activated the countess becomes convinced and will escape with them.
If there is a fight, the PC's will be in trouble (magic users? clerics? - full regiment) the parents will join in the battle, saving the day.  If necessary the whole town is owned and run by retired adventurers, it can help if convinced.

needs
What will they say if asked?

The story

The Countess is being held prisoner at the far end of the town, near the main entrance, guarded by a full company of men (the Captain's Regiment) Currently under the leadership of the Shield and the Sword

needs
enhanced stats for the Shield and the Sword
and the other men leaders dropping in skill down from the 9-10th level of the Knights
perhaps lesser knights, and so on.
Full regimental Stats as above

RS 47 - on the island of Dr Necromancer

PC's ? marta, taylor, ilsa, Sean?
Maybe someone else alive, but chained up in the halls?
Or on the ship?
- good news, both Eberk and Zav were missing from the last game (Sean and Paul), so they can float up to the island on a raft or something near game start.

Game start, all the PC's are together in the catacombs under the castle.
They are in a long hallway. At this end there is a turn in the hall, that leads to stairs up, and the iron gate to the outside (this is a long winding hall). In the hall there are chains and cuffs and one mouth cuff (fun bit for the player Ben, he couldn't talk for most of the game)
Down the hall there are piles of dead bodies, stored here in the cool (and perhaps spelled against decay), a stockpile for later use as undead. They are the various adventuring parties that died in attempts to attack this castle over the years.
The PC's played last game with minimal gear, no armor or weapons, presumably all lost when their ship crashed. They have no idea what happened to their ship, the banner, the other PC's or their stuff.

This suggests that any human guards might be better equipped than they have appeared. I could use a reason for that, superstitious perhaps?  Dumb probably?
There should be at least one defender who is smart enough to be well equipped, maybe hold out some good stuff for them.

At game start the PC"s will presumably equip themselves from the dead.

Magic items in the pile
enough armor and weapons to suit them up.
--- discussion point, I told them there would be one weapon of their preference that was magical, so they could tell me which.  I think I'll just make a list of stuff they find, and include several options.

multiple suits of armor, scale, leather and ? all +1
multiple weapons, broadswords, daggers,
large recurve bow, two toned wood and bone, 16+ strenght plus mastery to string it ??
bows,
one beautiful bastard sword with black engraving and a red star,

Ingredients

1 isolated crescent shaped island, perhaps the top of a dormant volcano
a mix of sandy beaches, dark thick forest, and steep mountain sides
1 stone castle at the center, with two doors
    one massive front door
one iron gated entrance to the tombs

12x12 wandering free zombies on the island ~144 wandering ‘native’ zombies
12x12ish pirate zombies coming up out of the sea ~144 ‘Pirate’ zombies
2 Knights of the Red Star - Capt and Horse (possibly more on the ship)
1 Evil Empire Tall ship at dock
? # of crew on the Tall ship
Island guards, staff, dock crew, still loyal to Necro (mostly)
1 missing Pirate Ship Revenge - damaged at sea, now limping into port

Castle

catacombs both on hillside and below levels:
stairs up, gate out, hall of bodies and chains, summoning / magic circle at one end

main floor has large ball room, guard desk at door, and huge kitchen/ prep area to left inside door.

Mid floors is offices at ends, with large balcony

upper floor is private rooms and the 2 large bunk rooms in rear,

Story needed

What happened to the Revenge?
  How were they thrown off?
why don't they remember? (best if there is magic plus concussions involved)
what happened to all their stuff?
what happened to the PC's not in the game? (Eberk?)

I imagine a storm/battle, they were perhaps blown out of the Revenge by an explosion on the first shot? they were probably already in the 3 groups they started part 2 of last game already, some sleeping, some guarding, some resting.  Each got flung away, had to lose any armor and weapons to survive (only personal items are small enough to hang onto, or somehow they were left on the ship and will be retrievable)

Where is the book hidden?
Which book is it? (the one from the flashback with the black cover and the red star)
What name did the Necromancer give?
What name did the Asst Necro use?
How did the book stay hidden from the EHK all these years?

How many human guards?
 Roof, doors, big patrol,
also, dock hands, support staff, personal assistants

What are they doing?
mostly secretly EHK soldiers, Necro didn’t need any or very few. They took over about a month ago when the EHK arrived, tricked the Necro into allowing them on the island, then took over.
so there is a cadre of Necro loyalists that might help the PC’s at some point.

What ship attacked the revenge?
one of the 4 fastest of Floren of course!
 elementals and fireballs flying.

proposed scenes

Act 1 - in the catacombs

scene 1 players leveling up, then into story as they search the area.
other PC's arrive if needed (where was Eberk this whole time?)
maybe Eberk washes up late, perhaps floating on something?
I think the ship arrives later in at a dramatic moment - else he could be on the ship

scene 2 - they plan

scene 3 - in the dungeon - Capt torturing Necromancer
The Capt has him tied to something and is beating him with ??? whip? rope? hands?
The Horse perhaps has a crop / whip?

scene 4- in the castle (upstairs) - guards notice someone broke in? guards from catacombs not reporting?

scene 5 - on the docks (if needed) - pirate zombies attacking Tall ship (or ignoring it??)

Act 2 -
scene 1 - flashback 1
separate them into groups
what happened last night?
each separated from their stuff
huge waves

scene 2 - flashback 2
the book
parents being cool

Act 3 -
scene 1 - continuation
scene 2 - escape
Pirate King Zombie

Then what?

scene x - When does the Revenge arrive?

What is happening at home when they get there? [the presumed end panel is a picture of home]  maybe not
