Summary
Dwarves and Elves are not fighting.
Dwarven children returned to their clan
Dwarves are pleased - will send re-enforcement's to support Countess Whitewater.
Elves are pleased
Elven people got the food they needed in time.
Elves will also send re-enforcements to support Countess Whitewater
Options - thank you gifts from each Elf and Dwarf.

Uncle to a child taken and held - he steps in to volunteer when the child is returned.

Each PC given some gifts in gold and gems by the grateful Dwarves. say 10% of the 100,000 or just over 1k per PC. Make it in gold, silver and gems to let them do the math for a while.
then let the Dwarven merchants earn some back :-)
meanwhile the elves will gift them with healing potions, soft shoes and quality bows and arrows
So they travel back to Whitewater, and come upon a scene of battle, perhaps a siege of the castle?
they arrive in the nick of time, perhaps them selves get trapped until either the white knights of St Thomas arrive? Or the Dragon?

Once the battle is resolved, this last large army of the Red Star has been routed, and can be hunted down.

The Countess is very grateful, and will give another congratulatory dinner in their honor. Each will be offered knighthood?
Then she needs to send them on another task. the Red Star has been beaten back, but they can't expect to hold out once the King knows about them.

SH 34 - Beach Party
Sky High Beach Party
Late in Sophomore Year
early summer weather
possible science lab trip, results in Beach Party
Dr Kraken
and the Crab Pots of Doom!
at the beach, crabs start coming out of the sea, larger and larger they get, until a giant crab ridden by Dr Kraken emerges! They attack the beach, sending bathers running in all directions.
play up secret id's - they have to find a safe way to change (behind an umbrella, in the surf, etc)
squid head man - extra limbs
jelly fish man - all long reach attacks the NND stun
seahorse guy - movement
moray - spitter
crabs - grabby - pinchy
Maybe some/all get napped, wake up in the crab pots?

Red Star May 2012
Scene 1 - At the Dwarven Stronghold.
visit Dwarves, get thanked, get gifts
Dwarven Laird / clan chief plans to deliver the ransome and retreive the kids. It includes his daughter and nephew, and many others Mostly of those who were mining.
PC's must remember to ask him to help the Countess. Lord will be happy to help, just as soon as the kinder are returned safely ... and justice done to those who snatched 'em. - Ryan / Thayer remembered.
-- What do they do with the accountant and elf?
-- how much is a lot of gold? ~500-800 each 8x5 = 4k, 8x8 = 6,400 ...
-- maybe offer quality arms and sheilds? Anything for the squishies?
Scene 1b - with the Elves
grateful, busy, very worried about the sick and starving, will deal with the elf thief in due time

a- bringing the manatees to market. and feeding the hungry
b - spending money ~500-600 each
things available - new clothing, steeds, weapons all normal. Some potions and scrolls, any first, some second. A few wands, cure lights for example.

on an outing with the families, they happen upon a farm, and someone gets dared to hop the fence and collect some turnips / tomatoes / corn / etc for their meal.
there are warnings, dogs barking, but not too close. Then more dogs, then something worse
LESSON - once you have what you came for GET ... OUT !!!!
Scene 6 - Breaking into the Mayor's Office / BANK
As the PC's arrive, they get a spot check to see they are being followed (by the surviving guild members and/or the Dwarves)
There are armed guards, but mostly they are armored so they can get off a blast on their horns, nice shiney livery of bank. - Do they attack to kill? "this guy looks pretty bloody already, what is your plan?"
once inside the item tugs visibly toward the vault, and provides trigger for

Red Star April 2012
Sothe gang has figured out that the accountant may have been skimming gems, and the dwarves might even have enough value already.
BUT, the elves are about to attack the dam right now, and the dwarves are prepared to defend it. Looks like a pending slaughter of elves and manatees!
The elves should have a trick up their sleeve - magic of some kind?
The dwarves have semi-trained - semi-starved crocodiles as their trick, hidden in the marshy area of the river near the dam.
So with that conflict immanent, what are our villains doing?
They had already met and performed some exchange. So they must be planning to return to there respective sides. If they care about chaos, they will try to get the two groups to clash. if they are just out for themselves, they will skip out before anything serious happens, or right as the poop strikes the impeller.
So we'll have one group of players, probably most of them, involved in the middle of the skirmish, trying to mitigate damage. So, Uncle, has some mage skills and will attempt to enhance the chances of breaking down the dam. Meanwhile the bad elf will maybe abuse the manatees sot the HAVE to rush forward, then will stay back and watch from a safe distance. Meanwhile the other good elves will be in harms way as the LEAD the manatees toward the dam.
As this is happening, Ken and Leaflo will be tracking the accountant, who will be heading to his office, probably to fetch the last of the gems before the dam gets busted. If he succeeds he can either take credit for saving SOME of the gems, or keep them for himself.
Theyer might change shape again, to help stop the manatees.
Some will need to fight the crocs and their handlers.
Some will try to convince both sides to stop.

2- Hank's foe the chinese punk car gang is harrassing the delivery people and perhaps the paper lantern.

AT game start, Ken is taking the Boss of the Dwarves to talk with the Lord of the Elves, not sure how he'll get them to talk.
The Accountant was just seen by Leeflo in the woods, secretly meeting with one of the Elves.
Somehow they must discover the plot to steal the gems, and get them to the Boss before the battle (gets too far) Or the Dwarves will Loose their secret weaopon, a group of huge crocodiles hidden on the edge of the river. Once the Crocs get to the manatees or the Otters, there will be blood shed and no way the Elves will forgive the dwarves.
The Elf plan is the drive the manatees at the damn, expecting the rush to crack it.
The Dwarf plan is to drive the manatees, elves and otters back with the crocs, cross bow and one large ballista.
If the elv plan works, the dwarf village will be flooded, and any dwarves still in the mine will drown.
If the dwarf plan works the herd will be delayed

Red Star Feb 2012
Swamp Dwarves v River Elves
So the Chaos Cleric has kidnapped the children of the Dwarves, and demands a huge ransom. They dam the river to dig for gems and precious metals.
Meanwhile the loss of water level in the river has caused a food problem in the elflands downstream, and the herdsmen have gathered their herd of manatees and is driving them downriver.
Also, there is one dwarf and one elf that are taking advantage of all this by ?
On the day, neither side is prepared for battle, so after a brief exchange, each side retreats to prepare for the next day.
As they retreat, one manatee will get caught in the dam, the dwarves start pelting it with stones to drive it away. some elves come to try to free it. PC's presumably aid the elves.
Both sides exaggerate their side of the story. "My river, we need the power!" Our town will be underwater quickly if we don't have the power!
Elves, "We need to get downstream! This should be a free flowing river!"
Compromise - open slush gates / rebuild them so creatures can travel up and down river more easily.
Dirty Duo -
Elf manatee hand working with a dwarf who has stolen some gems from the mine. he's the transport guy. He is also one of their guides / leaders, and sold the information to the dwarves of where to build and hunt gold. He's taking his cut from the dwarves, and doesn't care about this herd.
He did have a herd, or his family did, and it was lost or destroyed and he blames the other elves. His families loss he blames on the Elven community.
-He has a bag of gems that he shouldn't have.
-He has writings in his hand that match the missing map.
Maybe the chaos lord manipulated that loss to get a inside man?
Chaos lord found this extra greedy accountant dwarf and put them together.
They each have some magical tatoo that binds them together.
Dwarf Accountant is a guildie and is stealing from the mine, the ransom kidnapped chilren mine ... he's more evil. He's also the accountant for the Dwarves, and is skimming. should be evidence in his office / hut. Master map is dwarven, and account books. one map in an elvan script behind a desk, that was missed, should have been destroyed.
Who is the surveyor? He's here, doesn't know why they picked here, it's clearly not in his area of expertise.
Who would have drawn the master map, 'I could have sworn I saw a sectional map that I coulda sworn ws an elven map." and the one I have for this area sure didnt look like this. suggesting there is another map.
