How big is County White Water
apparently it covers all the land from Citta de Mar to Castle Whitewater itself.
Possibly this is a former duchy?
or there should be at least a Baron in charge of the City.
also / optionally the city fell to the red star, and is/was not actually part of the County White Water, but one of it's nearest contact points.
Now, effectively part of the county WW, making Ariel a Duchess?
the next nearest land mass would be the county to the west
or possibly a duchy, with her having either freed or blocked access to any other couty in her duchy
- who is her duke? that wimp!
- so let's make it her duchy, with the duke residing in Cita de Mar with his main keep to the SW, perhaps even historucally Bargles castle at one time.?? nah, that's too old.
- duke gave in easy to RS, just to safe his own hide, more of a capitulation than an actual battle, it fell to the Count of WW, his stanchest knight to hold the line, which he did for some months / years.
- does the month / season matter?
- how long have they be active? 2-3 years?
- we could ff a little if we want, give them time to have rebuilt some
- let them plan how they want to approach the world.
- for that they would need information, geography, history. but mostly, who is next?
- does the next county west have a RS army in place? how big? what comprises it?
- mostly forces already defeated once? perhaps in some awe of the PC's? goblins, trolls and such?
- or have they been swapped out for other troops or rotates back?
- is the former duke a valuable npc?
- next duchy over, that duke is now a king, himself
- this guy got a gift of a fine book some years ago, it tempted him and he turned.
- OR this guy was killed, and replaced by a sr hench dude, one of EHKS guys, low on the totem pole or he would have been make king sooner. One of the 8 kings. Each is a former team mate of the parents, each has a short story to tell the PC's about life in the old times.
- maybe this is the guy Red's dad went to serve as a kid?
- which kingdom did they all help take?was it this one or did they take the whole land mass and hence that keep intro story is the main keep EHK is in now?
- I want to at least save that pile of meaning for a later game, so save that.
- this guy/gal is a lower level (still higher than the PC's) and someone the EHK never really connected to, not totally evil, not completely awesome, but a decent team player, at the bottom of the next tier of members after the PC's folks.
- make him a ... Mage / controller.
- had some qualms, but blindly faithful. got this reward at the end here, kinda aging, kinda done with all of it.
