The Return - Part 3 - On the River

 - one of the crew has the wanted poster showing the banner
 - there is the demon that was tortuing one of the Pimpernels
 - the Capt and the Pilot argue about moving farther down the river at night
Capt wants to avoid the elf issue
Pilot wants to avoid the whirlpool/monster

once at night, something slips over the side
early the next morning, see something in the water

manatees
giant otters - lobo del rio
 less 60's hippy, more 70's biker gang
secretly feeding the power in the river via the monster
 or at least complicit in its survival


act 1 - That evening ...
 sc 1 - recap
 sc 2 - that night the night-river-elves arrive and threaten - riding beasts of the river
 sc 3 - that night the crew member attempts to investigate the banner - if they aren't guarding it, he 'proves' they have it.  If he is stopped he suspects - depending on them.
 sc 4 - somethng climbs out of the rivver and grabs someone right nex tto the pc's??

Act 2 - That night ...
sc 1- elves return - violence
sc 2 - barge cut loose into the darkness
 -- second anchor floats - elven interference

  tentacles pretty obvious
  tentacle with weapons?

 vines

 maybe just ghostly forms, a haunting of the mind
 or shapely forms, drawing the crew over the side
